Default GASONLINE LEAK!!! HELP!!!

Alright guys, i drove my h22 accord home last night and i noticed my car was throwing a code 43 which is the fuel supply system code but it was dark so i didn't think much of it. This morning, i start it up....and let it warm up and notice that there's this gasoline smell. So i popped the hood and i see gasoline spraying from this sensor:

My first question is, what is that sensor? and why is there gasoline spraying out from it from where it meets the throttle body? So i took it out and looked at it....and i was wondering if any of you guys can see why it would leak?

This is the shot of the side that connects to the TB

this is the TB:

any ideas what can be done about it? I have an f22 one, the bolt pattern seems to line up, but looks a little different.

f22 sensor.

fuel flows through it..and appears to be connected to the rail.....FPR???...even though those are ususally on the drivers side....

on second glance...yea...theres no way thats an FPR......i guess i dont know my TB sensors very well...at least not the ones through which gas flows....

are both pics the same sensors?? the second pic is an EGR valve but 1st pic looks different,,
egr valve should not have any gas flowing through it unless you might have some intake manifold internal leak

Has the EGR ever been removed before you took it off this time? The reason i ask is because there might have been something that was originally in place that might have been removed which sat between the EGR and the TB. Its odd that it would just suddenly start spraying gasoline, but thats dangerous.

I guess your best bet is to post this up on the prelude forum and see what people say.

Oh, one more thing, what part of the EGR was it spraying out from? i mean where.

I dont think it's very likely that gas is comming out of the EGR valve. Take a closer look at your #4 injector. It looks a little wet.

a true mechanic to the rescue......

looking at the picture, it does appear as though the fuel to the injector is wet

yo you need to replace the seals there are 3 per injector as a matter of facts once you get the rail out and disturb the other seals you should reseal all 4 injectors

a non factory injector seal kit is around $ 20-25 that would give you all the seals to reseal all 4 injectors

this happend to me when i was cleaning out my egr ports.... you need to get new o-ring's for your injectors.. its hard finding the right kind for honda.. i suggest you go to the dealership.. the ones they have are made of special composite material that last for a long time.. dont forget when you put the new seals on to lube them with sum motor oil or sumthing to they get a good seal.. also buy a few extras just incase

Bad news guys....the same injector started leaking again. Its leaking less than last time....as opposed to spraying out, its just coming out little by little...i think i may have a bad injector or maybe i should just go ahead and change all the seals on that injector. Just incase...anybody got a n h22 injector for sale???

Take a close look while you wiggle it around a little. You should be able to tell if it's coming from the upper o-ring or the injector itself.

I'll take another look, but i just replaced the o-ring, the ring that goes into the fuel rail. It was holding for while...maybe it is the injector maybe not....i'll get all the seals tomorrow for that injector and replace em all...if it still doesn't work, then i'll go injector hunting i guess.... what'd you guys think?

hmm man that suck but i told you it was a good idea just incase... now what wouldve happend if you were driving and that ignited without you knowing.. you couldve had that fire extinguisher ready for the job... did you use OEM o-rings? and did you put sum engine oil on the rings for a good seal?

you should have sum1 sit in your car and turn on the ignition and you could stand outside to inspect the injecter and get an idea of where its leaking from.

accord kid am i understanding you right you had the fuel rail and injectors basically out and you only replaced 1 o-ring on 1 injector?? please tell me i am missunderstanding you because if it is so ....well all i can say is WOW and shake my head at the way you operate ..trust me ((((( replace all 3 seals on all 4 injectors ))))),,if it leaks after that than u got a bad injector if so buy an aftermarket 1 a lot cheaper than factory

i'm a lil strapped on cash right now so i only swapped out the 4 o-rings on top of all four injectors. Still managed to leak up there. I swapped injectors to see if it was injector-centered, and so far no leaks....but i fgure its only a matter of time.... I'm hopin it'll hold until i can get the rest of the seals.
