Slight noise when lifting the clutch pedal...99 Si
Does anybody else have a similar problem? It's kind of a creeking sound. Any suggestions as to where I can lubricate? It almost feels/sounds like it has to do with a spring.....

My clutch does this as well. I have no idea what it is. It doesn't always do it either. I have noticed it depends on the temperature outside. I also saw a Civic coming to a speedbump the other day and when he put his clutch in it made the same noise my clutch sometimes makes. I would like to know what it is as well.

my 01 ITR and friends 01 GSR, both started doing this... i got my master clutch replaced, it stopped for a week and then came back louder...as soon as it comes out of winter storage its getting lubed and grinded...if that don't work try something else... acura doesn't have a clue, sounds like this is becoming a problem for alot of honda owners...got to love factory warr..
Along with that, the fan belt also make some noises too. Again, after I did the cleaning. I only used soap in very small areas, and mostly water. I'm afraid to lube the belts cause it might cause it to slip or something.
Anyways, the point is, cleaning it may remove some of the "oils" that keep things quiet. The thing is, the water can't tell which oil is good or bad.

open the hood
have a friend press the clutch.
if you hear somthing from the transmission its probably the clutch slave cylinder/release fork/release bearing with improper lubrication.
dont worry about it

That would be the pressure you're applying to the pivot point of the clutch pedal...
There's a rod that the clutch pedal pivots on... When the pressure for your foot and the added pressure form the spring and master cylinder work against it, it'll squeak...
Make sense?
