pr3 cutting out rpm jumping

pr3 cutting out rpm jumping
I took te car out for a boot today and when i get too around 7000 rpm seems like the fuel cuts out...the rpms start jumping
I checked the ecu doesnt say manuel or auto the resistor is in the r67 position....
and i dont think the car did this the last time i went out for a ride...
any help?

no codes at all
all wires were soldered and i can rev it at idle to 8000rpm but when i drove it it jumped when it got to the high rpms very usual didnt happen the time couple weeks ago when i took it for a ride...i would double check by driving but no plates and cops rolled by after i drove today
