d16y7 rev during startup?! HELP
So i have a d16y7 with about 145k on it, recently when i've started it in the morning it will rev up and down going to the highest 3k rpms. One day i started it, it started revving for about 15 seconds when back to normal i didn't think anything of it i drove and it started to bog down when getting over 2.5k rpms drove it back to my house at 830am and let it sit until i was off work at 1:30. A buddy and me then took out the iac valve and cleaned it from a little bit of gunk started and the car was running good, the next day passes and it's okay then this morning it started to rev up and down again at 10am. I didn't drive it to work, got home started and no revving at 6pm. Anyone please share your thoughts, CEL is on, i checked the codes at o'reilly's when i first got the car and the dude said it was on bc of the cat.

What car is holding the D16Y7?
Pull the codes yourself by jumping the service connector. Post the codes, and then reset the ECU to see which ones repeat.

Right, it won't, but if it's a catalyst efficiency code, then it's unrelated. Also, if he removed the IACV to clean it, then the coolant needs to be bled anyway. Unfortunately, we get entirely too many people who refuse to answer questions the first time they're asked, and I've gotten pretty tired of asking the same question four times before we get an answer.

Pull the CEL codes. Post them. If you aren't sure of how to read the blink codes, feel free to take a video of them with your smartphone (or a friend's, on the off-chance you don't have one), upload that video to youtube, then post it here. You can find a how-to in the FAQ sticky, if you aren't familiar with the process.

Also bleed the coolant, it's soooo funny cause I swear you made another thread not too long ago and you were asked to bleed it then but you never came back, in that thread I gave you a step by step on how to bleed the cooling system properly.
