Default SOHC Turbo People. What manifold are you using?

Yes, I Searched but found nothing that really answered my question's.
I started to notice a lot more people going turbo on their SOHC's and want to try and get it all in one thread if possible.

What manifold are you using? What did you pay for it/Where did you get it from? Please post pictures/dynos/time slips/personal opinions/etc along with your current setup.

Personally, I really like the LOVEFAB Shorty Manifold because Cody is reputable and the price isnt bad. It says (2.5" down pipe only) if you want to keep A/C, and you have to convert to slim fans and use some heat wrap.

But how big of a D.P. do you really need to go if you are running stock internals?

Here are some pics if you haven't seen it already:
$350 on Cody's site. i think i looks pretty good

anyone have pictures of this mounted on their car?

BTW: i recently came across http://www.turbod16.com but my registration for the site hasn't come thru yet . Hopefully i can get some decent input here...

How did you go about welding on a bung for your external gate,I've never seen an HF Mani with an external wastegate,if I can't find a manifold soon I might be forced to run an HF which I don't want to do.

I have a Drag III mani... I bought it used for $120 shipped.

The wastegate placement kinda sucks, but I don't care, it was cheap!

I really want to do a topmount for my next project... we'll see if that ever happens.

i'm a big fan of cody from lovefab's stuff....and a 2.5'' downpipe is FINE for a stock internal'd d16.....a bigger one would make a bit more power, but nothing major...keep your ac if you can....you'll like it.

i personally have a Drag manifold though....i know...it "creep'"...but mine doesnt...and i'm modifying the crap out of it when i finish my built bottom end....

bought it for 100 bucks.. cant beat that.

i daily the car when its nice outside, and Cast doesnt Crack too easily....

i'll be tapping 2 other runners for the wastegate when i build the bottom end... i'm poor...and cant afford anything else. pistons and rods come first.

most common, imo
obviously has to be the greddy manifold off the greddy sohc kit,
which is the most common prefabed kit for sohcs

Running the one that came with the F-Max turbo kit. No leaks and no boost spikes. Good for low boost applications: 6-12 PSI.

I would if it was a Lovefab. You seriously cannot beat a lifetime warranty.

Here's the Shorty installed on my Z6.

By the way, check out http://www.turbod16.com. It's a great site full of info directly related to turboing a D.
