so i was driving home on the freeway like usual today and i go to downshift at the offramp at my exit, only i hardly can beacuse the shifter has all of a sudden become as mushy as pudding. i could no longer decypher between the gears anymore and once in one i could swivel the whole stalk around 360 degrees. I finally made it home going in 3rd gear the whole rest of the way and jacked up the car to see that the end nut on the bolt that holds in my skunk2 short shifter had come off and it was only being held on by one side of the fork. it was just about the scariest thing besides the time i got in a wreck, i thought i was going to lose control of the tranny and get stranded out in the middle lane or something.

i've had the damn thing for almost a year now and didnt notice any looseness or rattling, so i figure i'll stop by the hardware store and try to replace the bolt that goes through the SS, and be sure to tighten it better. this ever happen to anyone else?
