Default mini me with y8 head

i was told by a shop that this is very hard to do because the head is obd-2. they said it was way harder that a mini with a z6. then they said they had a z6 that they would sell. were they just saying that or is it true. my plans are to stay obd-0 and just run a vafc. does anybody with this combination have any problems. any info would be appriciated

They were full of ****.

The A6 distributor bolts onto the Y8 head. It does not bolt onto the Z6 head without modification.

they prob said it was harder because they wanted you to buy their z6. its the same head basically, xcept the a6 dizzy bolts to it, and i think it will give u higher compression. but ya im doin the same swap with the y8, but im converting. i think u shoudl just convert it to obd1 and scrap the vafc. ppl say its better, and converting it isnt that hard as ive been reading, im about to convert it to pretty soon.

the way you are talkin about is easier since you are staying obd 0. if you wanted to convert to obd 1 (which you should because it is cake and you will be way happier ) it is a little easier but the only diff in the heads is how the diztributer bolts up.

if I use a y8 head and convert the injectors and ECU (p28) can I still use the OBD0 Dizzy from my 91 SI, or do i need to use an obd 1 dizzy?
I used a Y8 head w/ obd 1 CX dizzy on an obd 1 EG swap, but it was all obd 1...
Thanks
Hank

why dont you just chip your ecu (uberdata, crome, etc) i think you will be more happier. that is what i plan on doing. also all d series heads are not the same, most of them are interchangable though. first gen integra heads wont fit our civic blocks. to hankish, if you use the y8 head and convert to p28 (u can keep your obd0 injectors i believe) u need an obd1 dizzy. when converting to obd1 from 0, u only need the ecu, dizzy, and o2 sensor. those 3 things are a must.
