Civic Help me head hurts

Default Civic Help me head hurts



Hi heres my problem i recently bot a car that is the biggest problem ever


I have a 93 honda civic lx 4 door
under the hood has
a d16y7 block
a d16z6 head(i think it says vtech and honda on the valve cover(with vtech silonoid)
a d15b7 ecu
and here is the kicker someone put an acord disributor that doent fit what so ever it is dremoled on one of the mounting spots so it will hold on and the timing is so far f#$ked that the car trys to dye at stop lights and what not what should i do oh yeah it was turbo it still has the feader and return lines for the oil


please help me

Sounds like you need a new distributor. Accord dizzy into a civic, that's ghetto. Never heard of it.

switch the head on the d16y7, and put on the d16y8, less OBD troubles.

Get a new ecu, for the d16y8....
New Distributor

does the car even run?

Get the right dizzy, it's vtec. you don't have vtec because your running the lx ecu. Your problem lies within your timing. Just get a z6 dizzy and adjust the timing.

Rywire has new d16z6 Distributors for $235 (TD-42u)
Crazy mix and matching goin on there. Is the accord Dizzy OBD1?
Get a P28 computer from JKOBD.com as well man.

lmao accord dizzy into a d LOL
My buddy tried ghetto rigging up the same thing. it worked for about 10 mins, he leaned out and went boom.

theres more to it, but thats the jist of it.

yeah I have a p06 ecu from a 95 ex vtech so im golden ther i just need a dissy if any one has one for cheep, and I mean cheep, I'm straped for cash and I'm using the honda for a comuter while the teg Is being worked on at F2uning geting my c5 head swap with a t4 greddy and sperko intercooler the manager says it will get almost 300whp with out NOS
