B2 vs Z6 Throttle Body inlet sizes
I've been searching online all over for these specs but just cant seem to find them. If anyone knows the difference between the two please post.
Im looking to buy an intake I can use on my B2 but then use once I get my z6 swap.
Thanks for all info

nothing that i can think of right off hand sorry about the comment i sent to wrong person so what swap are you going to get my next swap is b20 cr v-tech with j-1 tranny right now have zc w/turbo just wating for motormounts
Im getting a z6 swap in the near future, but theres some thing I want to do first, new strust/spring/tires/wheels/brakes, rebuild an SI tranny, do some cosmetic interior/exterior repair, and then build up a z6 and drop it in and turbo it.
But I want to get intake and exhaust on my b2, but I want to be able to use them on the z6 when i get them. Is it even possible? shouldnt any catback system meant to fit on a d-series just bolt right on up through my swap? The only issue I can think of is a difference in throttle body size for the CAI I want to put on the b2, I dont want it to not fit the z6 inlet

i dont think the throttle body inlet size should be that much of an issue, however, isnt thhe dx throttle body downward facing while the z6 tb faces towards the passenger side shock tower. i guess you could just get a standard MPFI intake and attach it to the DX intake just before that big boxy on top of the TB. but it might not fit too well.
just wait to get an intake until you have your z6, then get an intake for an SI. (remember that cars that came with Z6s have batteries in a different place, so its likely that the intake for a z6 wouldnt fit to well with the 88-91 battery location.
good luck with everything!
im going from a b2 to a z6 as well.

If you are talking about an intake tube like an AEM or what not it will work on both the d15b2 and the d16z6.
I used an iceman intake on my b2, zc, and now its on my b16a.
