HELP...is this turbo kit any good???
Sorry guys but I don't know very much about turbo's and really want to put one on my car this summer. And today is the last day I have to purchase a turbo kit that I have on hold from a local guy who is selling it. The setup is below. The guy pulled it from his '99 Si and I plan to put it on my '00 Si. He said he had it on his car for only 2000 miles. He is asking for $2500. First of all, is the kit any good? Second, is it worth the $? Finally, what else do I need to make the kit complete? Please let me know. All feedback would be very helpful. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply!
The guy said "all I need is the fitting to tap the oil pan ($10) and the fitting for the oil pressure($10) on the block." Is he talking about the oil lines?
What would you suggest for fuel management and how much more $ am I looking at?

Crome/Uberdata are free... if your car is OBD1 all you need is a chip burner and to chip your ecu.
Else I recommend Hondata... it's the next cheapest "real" solution.

Theres a guy on this board, flemengo-T (I think) If he's still selling the stuff he will know exactly what you need. I recommend this because for some reason oil lines can be a pain to figure out. This is because the back of the block uses some british pipe thread (non us standard)

You are right it is a Peakboost! He's actually selling the kit for $3000 and it doesn't come with the oil lines or slimline radiator fan. However, it does include a bunch of things not in the original kit. This kit is used and I don't know for sure how long, I just have to trust what he says. I priced everything online at just over $4000 retail. Do you think $3000 is still a decent price???
so he raised the price on you?...its still a okay buy for 3Gs....you can get complete new peakboost kit from wiredspeed(i think) for like 2850 or 2900(i forgot) on honda-tech here...if it was me i would get a brand new one...but either way yours is still a good buy with the extras...
http://www.moates.net this is where i got my burner from. Its called burn1 and is 85 bux
its a good kit, but remember 3000 is just for the kit. Make sure you have some extra money for tunning and all the other small crap. Slapping on a turbo kit doesn't cost much, all the headackes that come with it cost money. Just my 2 cents from experence.
you need the oil t from http://www.tunertoys.com. the back of the block uses a bspt thread while most t fittings are npt. i used that t and it threaded in perfectly with no leaks.
. i'd recommend getting it, plus its only like $20.
also, those parts in the kit are pretty good. he seem to not cheap out on anything when he pieced it together.
