Brand new S-03 Tires mounted pics for those interested
So I finally got my acts together and went to put on the S03s and say goodbye to the bad companionships of worn RE010. I stuff the tires in and drove 1 hour to a Firestone shop that have the lastest equipments that I can find around town, the odors of the new tires still leaves me a bad headache. These are 205/50-15 btw, Here's the process:
A whole set of Porterfield R4-S brake pads:
Received Tires from Tirerack for $123 each, retail in Firestone shop is $220 each.
Close up:
Worn RE010, this is the right passenger front tires, the really bad ones are the rear tires...inner and outer sidewalls are gone.
My car on the alignment rack:
S-03 Finally mounted:
They fit very wel. Someone said that they are much wider compare to Falkin/Kumho, but looks well fit in person
Cool digital tire pressure gauge from Tirerack:
I baby my car home slowly, maybe I am too sensitive, but I felt lot more "road feel" with these tires. My car still feels loose after the alignment, maybe someone can help me out in this thread:

I have clear corners the day I roll out of the dealers...but they've got stolen twice, and I don't want to drive with two black holes again. Since I don't think anyone will steal my amber ones, so I put them back on and enjoy being humbly stock. And I am modifying another set of clear ones with induction channels for my Icebox for race days.
Clear ones for your pleasure.

Well, I was parking in my college's campus this one time and I'll never do it again! I wake up like every other 3 hours to run out in the cold to check out my car...but what do you know, in the morning, my friend called: "(laughter). your clear corners are gone again". Anyway, it's not too bad as they also tried to take off my wing, but those **** are too weak I guess...the double-side tapes underneath my wing is all ripped up but the screws are still holding it firm!
My friend's white GSR in my school use a two-pin hole screws on his car so no one can steal the clear corners with conventional philip of flat heads.
I bet those **** must've sold the clear ones for like $50 to some ricers like "Yo! This is from a Type-R yo! Makes you go mad fast yo!"

I think we both have to wait at least 500 miles on them to really give the right judgement. Hopefully, it will be a good outcome.
I am surprised you bought that size and did not go or the 195/50r15 on sale for less than $80 each.
why did you go 205/50?
why did you go 205/50?
I know it will save me some $180...but I think 205/50 is a more near stock size category than 195/50. They are for street use only, so it would be more comfy and grippier as it lays down more rubber.
I have the digit tire pressure gauge and it doesn't work after a year or so!!

How many miles on those RE010s?
The outside treads on mine are basically bald with less than 3,000 miles, less than 10 auto-x, 15 minutes track time, and rest mostly highway.

Those are 12,000 mi RE010's with combined several lapping days and over 10 autocross, but I usually warm up the tires before each session/heat...3,000mi is an awful number. I would suggest rotation quite often then factory suggestion on your case. You must'be been driving them really hard.
