Default EBAY FRAUD - Mods please sticky this post and don't delete so people are aware!

Wow - I cannot believe that this is happening. I have heard of this stuff happening, but never so close. I am glad I didnt post the VIN up. The decsription has changed, but the pics are the same

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&rd=1

Check this out, people! He/she is using my pictures and my description right from this thread. I tried to warn the guy that he is using my pics without consent and that he is downright fraudulent, but no responses.

Here is my h-t fpr sale thread below: (56K users please beware, huge pics inside)

Contact eBay about this first...

If needed, we can all bid it up to $10 million just to stop the auction.

The same thing happened a while ago, some guy stole pictures of Tom's LSD and used them in an eBay auction. We just bid the auction up super high and eBay was forced to end the auction.

Or replace them with a message that says. Do not bid. Fraudulent Auction.

he is not hosting them directly off my site else he would be toast. The theiving bastard saved the pics and hosts them from his own site somewhere. These people are pro's. They know how to bend the law and not break it! Very sad!

Huh,

It doesn't seem like a huge scam...if someone comes to pick up the car with cash in hand, then there is no car there, then what?

I've bought cars on eBay before, but never paid a cent until I went to kick the tires, look over the title, and drive the car first.
I have even not paid up if the car had a check engine light on, and it wasn't mentioned in the auction. If they didn't mention something like that, who knows what else they "forgot" about.
Don't pay for a car or a house unless you look at it first, a rule of thumb, but I pray these scammers don't make any money.

I emailed him again from another account and asked this:

"Why is the buy it now price so cheap? Why is it not worth more? Is there some thing wrong with the car? -Thanks"

Here's how he replied:

Dear Customer,
The car is located in Gainesville, GA. It has all the papers(complete) as well as the servicebook.
I want this transaction to be smooth enough as I am caught in the middle of some very important events and have very few time at my disposal. The car is in perfect condition, no scratches, no special marks, no need for additional repairs what so ever. 158K miles onboard, a great car ready to be yours. I am the first owner of the car and it has no accident or any engine problem.
The price is $4,000 including shipping costs anywhere in the continental US. There are no other costs regarding this transaction. Now, in order to be able to buy it please let me know if you have any negative feedback and, if this is the case, for what reason. I apologize for asking for such information but I need to be sure.
Please also provide me with the following details necessary to take a decision:
-your full name and address for shipping
-your ph#
Regarding the payment I am aware of the buyer's protection and we will use eBay Motors secure payments which will hold the payment until the buyer receives the car. To complete payment the you must have cash available.
If I receive the requested information you will be informed by eBay during the next 12-24 hours.
Thank you.
Sandy Maynard

What's this guy's deal? Does he really think he's going to get away with this?

Did you get in contact with the eBay guy yet?
