how do i hotwire my lighter outlet?

Default how do i hotwire my lighter outlet?

i have a gps reciever (bluetooth that works with my PDA/phone)...it uses rechargable batters but i can plug it into the lighter socket to charge..i want to be able to leave it pluged in when i am not in the car so that it can charge...anybody ever hotwire that outlet so that it stays hot? tell me how....

i did that too a few year back when cellphones battery life were less than 10hours

if youre just gonna use light adaptors (like a cellphone charger). cut the + of the lighter socket and wire it to the + (always with power line) of the stereo. its the nearest line you can access from where the socket is

Your radio will bed fine the power always on line to the radio it just for the memory. It's all good!
