I just got new belts put on my car, and just recently i noticed that my '95 honda civic is making a really annoying ringing sound and its pretty loud, and i have no idea what it is? can someone PLEASE help! and let me know whats wrong? or what it could be???

Is it a ring or a squeal? is it constant, or just at certain times? Need more info.

 

it goes on and off, its more like a ring than a squeal... do you know what it is?

 

Have you found a certain situations when it does ring, or is it random? What belts were replaced? Timing? Power Steering? AC? Did you check to see if the all the pulley's are tight? have you popped your hood and listened for the location of the sound?

 

do you think it is something major, or something minor... i just noticed it this morning. havent had time to pin point the location of the noise.

 

probably minor. You just need to find the source of the noise and I can tell you for sure.
