JDM 23mm Rear Swaybar - worthwhile upgrade? (did a search)
Only found 1 topic on it, but just looking for some more opinions/experiences...
I know its supposed to let the car oversteer a bit more, but does that 1mm really make THAT much of a difference?

I would think an aftermarket sway bar would be more worth your time than an OEM JDM bar...1mm will make a difference, but a Mugen 26mm bar will make a world of difference.
I sold my 23mm after i installed... i dont feel anything. waste of money if u already have 22mm
bob - i'm intimidated by the 26mm, i've read that its more prone to oversteer..
I guess I should just get a whole season of autox in with the 22mm...i've only autoxed twice , and if i feel like i need some more oversteer, i'll make the upgrade...who else makes a good 26 mm swaybar? i dont want to dish out 300+ for a mugen bar
not sure if you want the R to oversteer more...I've never seen someone come on here and say "help, I just understeered my R into a tree"

eh, i was just talking to my buddy with a gsr and i noticed their rear sway bars were disgustingly puny, so I figured if the 23mm is a decent upgrade, i'd sell him mine for cheap and pick up the 23, and we both walk away happy
Here is a good thread - Willard's impressions of the 23mm bar at VIR.

I didn't feel any difference whatsoever.. but then again, I'm not a "road racer".. I drive around town like a jackass and look forward to stoplight confrontations.

It all depends on your driving style. I personally rather have a nutral car with a slight tendancy to oversteer and the JDM sway bar gave me just that. The difference is noticable during hard cornering. This summer I'm going to try the rear upper strut to see if I can tighten up the back end a little more.
I beleive the 26mm Mugen sway bar on stock suspention might be to much and give you to much oversteer.

seat reclined all the way, 19 inch bling bling chromies, and windshield washer LED nozzleS?

Despite what everyone here is saying I think its one of the best upgrades you can do especially for $100. I have done a ton of track events both with the original bar and the 23mm one, and with the 23mm one the car is much more neutral, the ITR is by far the best FWD car I have driven, but it still understeers a bit too much, with this bar the car is much more neutral and will actually oversteer some in the right conditions. So I'd recommend it, its cheap and easy to do, spend the extra money you'd spend on a mugen for a track day.
maxspeeds and Toda Party : yea, exactly. but you forgot.. i got mad NAAAS in the trunk, and a purge for the stoplights too.
oh, and red neon lights under my rear bumper.

thanks for ur input everyone, i think i'm gonna go ahead and do it once spring time comes around
Hrd to make out the difference i the pics, but:

Before the car felt flat going through sweepers. Now the front almost feels pushed. It makes a great thing even better!!
For $40, I think you'd be silly not to do it . . .
Just my opinion, of course

Another pic..
1mm may sound like a small amount.... but from a torsion standpoint it is not.
The 23mm unit can be stuffed into the 22mm bushing.

Not sure about "hard to find" but the bar was for sale (Mike@IPS) as is... w/o bushings.
I was going to mill the stock units out (no big deal) but to my surprise the bar fit (snugly) just fine.
