Default baseline dyno

Here is the dynoplot:

The first run, vtec didn't engage till 7500 rpms!!! The only thing i could think of was oil pressure. The mechanic checked the dipstick and said it was half a quart low. They put some in, and the last two runs were fine. Odd thing is i had an oil change two weeks ago. I don't burn oil even after 3000 miles! I think the techs at the acura dealership i go to are doing halfarse jobs. It's a pontiac and acura dealership. I've been reluctant to take my car there, because the first oil change i had there the tech said i had a nice car.He asked if i put in the carbon fiber inserts and the shift ****. I told him that they come on the ITRs stock. HE said OH, I don't know anything about these cars...i just work on them. After he said that i've had second thoughts about taking it back there. but anyways here is the plot:

The reverend also dynoed his car. He has JDM 4-1, carsound cat, AEM CAI, and Spoon N1 muffler.

i don't have his plot yet, but he got 178 hp and 128 lb/ft.

Was the car warm? Nice numbers by the way.

B2FiNiTY: actually, the car had been sitting for about an hour in the cold air. You think that caused it to not engage at 5800?

peace

I think B2FiNiTY wanted to know if the engine was still warm.

If the car is not warmed up, there will not be enough oil pressure for VTEC to engage.

Yes, your numbers look fine for a stock R.

Actually, It's the ECU that doesn't engage VTEC when it's not warm enough.....
