Exactly as the topic states. Is anyone else concerned about one of their rods coming through the block at 10psi?

Stock D series can be so different.
Whether its a 1.5 or 1.6.

Personally on a d16 Id run 10 daily.
D15 I like 7-8.
My d15 likes 12.

My plan is to run 10psi on my D16Y8 (100,000 miles) on the street... probably won't see maximum boost too often because I seem to be able to attract cops attention no matter what, where, how or when I'm driving. Probably won't see the track much, although I'll take it for a few passes when I break my new clutch in.

I'll be professionally tuned on wednesday next week, with my S200b (which I have to fix the plug first or get a new one)

Ok, I'm not worried anymore. I'll see how long it lasts.

psi means nothing, how many times do people have to say it. Different turbo, different hp for psi. The question is how much horsepower can a D16 handle, which is also asked all the time. Do a search noob.

I'm assuming its a fairly small turbo...so he will probably be making roughly 190-210whp at 10psi on a d16z6 or y8. Should be able to handle that fine.

I've boosted ~10 at the track just fine. Streets too. No problems.

I turn it down for longer trips though.

You're correct. It's a Garrett GT25R... looking to make ~220whp after tuning next Wednesday.

Well said.

Who are you calling noob? So you've been here since 2003... what, do you only go once a week or something? I've been around Hondas and cars in general for alot longer than you, believe me.

Are you kidding me? if you knew anything about cars why are you asking such a noob stupid question? Try running 10 psi out of an SC61 on your D and we'll see if it can "hold 10 lbs"

you were being a ******** for no apparent reason...so im calling you a ***, ***

anyway, ive accounted for a couple things, turbod's have made 300whp on a stock block, even an sc61 will get you no where near that at 10psi

to second that, this guy probably doesnt have an sc61

so even if he did have an sc61....he would still be fine

the tune is the most important part i think
no matter how little boost you run, with a bad tune you can blow the motor

also doesnt turbo size also matter when you guys talk about psi ??

Calling out noobs is not being a ********, you being stupid however is just being stupid. You admit that I was right about psi not mattering, but horsepower mattering right? So, if I'm right you didn't need to post, so shut up.
