Default inside crx trunk latch doesn't work??

hey guys, tried searching didn't find what i wanted.

anyway, i'll try to pull back on the latch next to the gas door latch so i can open the trunk and it'll open but as soon as the latch goes back down, it closes. I have to wedge something in there to keep the latch up so that trunk will open. any suggestions? can i adjust it somehow like you can with the e-brake cable? thanks guys in advance.

Pull the plastic middle panel off and see if everything is functioning correctly while you pull the latch. It could possibly have the little rod twisted or bent out of position

could be, but i had this problem when my struts were bad, the weight of the decklid would close it again, but when i put new struts on it, it held it enough that it wouldn't relatch. when it does open, does it stay up on its own?

yes. the struts are fine. this problem has to do with the latch and/or cable. thanks though.

You'll have to take out some of the rear interior to see where the cable pulls the lever that unhooks the latch... and just go from there.

If there ain't a good enough answer in 13 days, then you are pretty much SOL. Have you actually looked at the latch and the cable (followed it from the front to the rear) to see what the problem is?
