pistons question

Default pistons question

can i take civic si pistons to install on my dx connecting rods because i would like to buy srp 11:1 pistons and this model is for si. The dx piston that srp make have 10,5:1.

It is probably the same piston since putting a 11.5:1 piston meant for the stroke of a 1.6L engine on the shortened stroke of a 1.5L would drop the static c/r by about one point.

don't go mixing 1.5L and 1.6L pistons. There is a 1/8" difference in pin height.

the si and dx have the same piston pins

pins maybe the same, but the pin height on the pistons are different.

Put a 1.5L piston on a 1.6L rod and into a 1.6L block and it will stick out of the block at TDC.

Try it with the head installed = BAM!
