Default my 2001 engine ticks

I got a 2001 gsr swap in my ek. I posted something similar up on the teg page but its moving way to slow. Anyway my engine ticks, I just got this swap with less then 40k. The oils were drained out from the engine/trans for shipping purposes. I added mobil synthetic 5w-30 oil for the engine and honda tranny oil. So whats the prob? Valves? Injectors? Someone from the teg page mentioned to check if the oil is pumping to the head properly. How do I check that? Some one help

if the oil wasn't moving, you would know...maybe a valve adjustment is in order?

I agree, a check engine light or something should pop up if the engine is slacking off on the oil pumping right? I didnt know valve adjustment would be needed so soon. Any body know how to adjust these suckers? Links? Pics?

I suggest buying a haynes manual for your engine, it's very helpful for things like this.

Honda Recommends a valve adjustment every 30k, maybe its time for a valve adjustment.

I never had to adjust the valves on my dx motor. I dont remeber any noise comeing from the head, although the tranny made some noise and it sucked...So does any body have the gsr valve specs?

Yep, a Haynes manual does.

Intake 0.15 - 0.19 mm (0.006 - 0.007 inch)

Exhaust 0.17 - 0.21 mm (0.007 - 0.008 inch)

Specs from 2000 GSR. Good luck.
