HELP ME z6 intake manifold on b7
i just swapped over my spare z6 intake mani onto my b7
i did everything correct, or so i thought. all the plugs are in,
but now when i start it it revs super high at 3-4K then drops to 2K then revs back up, and it keeps doing this up and down up and down
and at the same time **** loads of smoke is just pouring out the exhaust and its running ******* super rich.
i dont know what is wrong and im fuckign pissed off, spent like 7 1/2 hours for it to **** up.... i thought d series mani's were interchangable...
i got a new gasket and everything. everything is bolted up fine... im assuming its a sensor of some sort
HELP ME PLEASE THIS IS A DD

vacuum leak?are all hoses hooked up?

i numbered the plugs to the entry part. so im pretty sure i didnt switch them..
my engine check light isnt on so i dont think its a sensor..unless it wouldnt matter...
im thinking that since the intake manifold was sitting for awhile it collected dust or carbon **** and when i started it up it when into the rail then into the injector and now its plugged. and just shooting straigh gas cause thats what it smells like, pure gasoline. all the hoses are hooked up because i numbered them and i dont know what you mean by vacuum leak...
im going to take the rail off again and see if i rolled an O ring and its sensing air.. i dont know im getting fed up though...

i rolled a ring, replaced it cleaned the injectors
hooked it all back up did the same thing
took it apart again cleaned them again, car still revs to 3.5-2K
then when i shut it off it has like power surges and doesnt shut immediately off, like it bogs down..the lights flicker as well... it ******* sucks i cant figure out what the hell is wrong....
please help, anyone. anything. tomorrow im putting the stock intake mani back on in hopes that it fixes the problem..
o yeah i am using my stock injectors/rail....

Check your IACV, Purge valve, and all the vacuum hoses. Make sure that the throttle cable is properly adjusted.
Did you swap everything from your B7 intake manifold onto your z6 intake manifold?

ok well...ill have to look up where those are cause yeah.....
vacuum hoses??
i know the throttle cable is properly adjusted because i didnt mess with any screws i just opened the butterfly to git it slack then removed it, i didnt mess with any of the bolts.
the only thing i swapped over plug wise was the clip on the backside of the mani on the right... it is white or yellow i forgot.. it has two phillips screws holding it in.. i didnt swap any other plugs..should i have?? i didnt think you had to swap over plugs..
damn, im new to this...
