Speedometer stopped working. WTF?

Default Speedometer stopped working. WTF?

91 Honda CRX Si, my speedometer stopped working, all lights tach and fuel guage still work. So, it couldn't be a fuse. Any ideas? Thanks

Speedo cable probably popped out. Take off the cluster shroud and press the cable firmly onto the back of the guage. HTH.

sometimes they break, too. you might need a new cable.

probably more than likely it broke FYI if you cant find a CRX speedo cable and sheeth you can use a 90-93 teg cable and sheeth cause thats what I use..

Well, I THINK I ruled it out to be the cluster itself. Hopefully I can find one at UWI. lol. I damn sure don't want to go to Honda and pay an arm and a leg for one. Thanks guys/girls

mine snapped a year ago, i just went to the junkyard and took one from a crx, tucked it in my pants and walked away. lol

For some odd reason, I snapped 3 of them last summer. I ran them the exact same way as the factory. I simply slid them through the factory sheath each time.

Eventually, I just got one from a civic. It was a bit longer, but worked perfectly, and has been in there for a year now.

what i hear, is that when the inside of the sheath gets worn, it tends to snap the cable easier. so, when you're at the junkyard, get the whole sheath with it.

Ok, problem found. It IS in fact the speed sensor. I'm REALLY starting to hate sensors.
