Default Is the prelude f22 block the same as the accords F22B2?

cause i can get a complete motor for like 150 bucks and just want to make sure it is the same type of block and that the stroke and rod lenght are the same as the H23. Also will the H23 head fit it?

i'm pretty sure the H series heads don't bolt to F series blocks, unless you do some serious frankenstein work, blocking oil passages, routing new ones. least from what i've seen. and as long as the prelude isn't type-SH i'm almost certain it would be a match. The difference in the SH is the tranny bolts, if not elsewhere too, hence so many products for "non-SH" ludes. can always double check with honda.

yes, they are both the f22b2 motors...as for the h series head, there have been a couple successful head swaps on this site...you will need to search for them, however...most of the details lie within those particular threads, but to answer your question, yes, it will work...but why not use the h22 head?

the f22/h22 hybrid has succesfully been done, with relative ease too. Check out cb7tuner.com for more f22/f and h series hyrbids. I think there is even a write up there on how to do it.

why not just use the DOHC F22? unless you wanted to go through the trouble of doing the h22/f22 combo. just a thought...
