Welded integra Shift Linkage?
I am swapping an LS/VTEC into my CRX and was wondering if anybody has just used cut and welded integra shift linkage. I heard you can do it. And I have the linkage out of an integra already. I dont want to spend more money if I don't need to.
The length removed varies on what mounts you are using. Here is a write-up on how to do it.

I actually used some linkage i had from an 86 prelude. i shortened the torque arm shaft right in the shifter housing and then i cut off the shifter linkage mount from my civic linkage. I welded a nut to the shifter shaft and a bolt and a nut to u-jointt linkage piece so it was adjustable worked great.

Cutting the linkage too short is no biggie. Three-quarter inch bar stock fits PERFECTLY inside the Integra tubes (you just have to file down the ridge inside the tube where the tubing was seam-welded). If you cut them too short, just use .75 inch bar stock to make up the difference. Also, you don't even need to weld. Just make sure you have about an inch of bar stock to fit into each tube end, drill holes through the tubing/bar stock, and bolt the whole thing together with 8mm bolts.
