As an Xbox owner who is feeling completely excluded while the rest of the world enjoys GT4, I had seen ads for Forza Motorsports and it looked worth looking into.
So I anxiously looked at this clip hoping to learn more on the game. Good to see Mr. Hope's gold CRX get some camera time but there was negative value there otherwise and that babbling talking head sucked away five minutes of my life that I will never get back and didn't even mention the game.

the link between the doofus talking (RJ DeVera) and Hope is that RJ owned the ugly Orange RSX that Hope drove in a couple of races last season (04). WTF any of that has to do with drifting, or racing, or Forza is beyond me.... looks like they're trying to sell the game to F&F fans.
I especially like the part where he's talking about racing wheel-to-wheel ... didn't he do one HC race, then give up and hire hope? LOL

Wow -- tough crowd. I enjoyed the videos, personally.

Bullshit doesn't get too far 'round deez parts...
I think that promo well...sucked. It was cool seeing Hope's car in there and some of the on track shots but hearing this guy blabber about smoking Mustangs and crap was a big turn off. As far as video game promos go this gets a 2.5 stars out of 5 from me
However I think I'm gonna buy an Xbox so I can play Forza. I might have to test drive it first but it sounds like it might be able to finally replace F355 as my fav console racing game.

Enh. That promo was aimed at ricers, not grassroots racers. I reckon this promo was aimed more at this crowd. Still no game footage, though -- the clips are, by design, about the people and the lifestyle, not the racing itself.
Full disclosure: I work for Microsoft, and formerly worked for their Racing Games studio. I made no direct contribution to Forza, and am not some guerilla marketer; the first time I saw these videos was when I saw this post this morning.

i was wondering where .RJ was. he's been makin MOVIES...
i like how that one guy is shown driving on track without a helmet on, y'know, cuz that's like totally safe and stuff!
new sig material: "I LOVE DRIFTING! I LOVE RACING!"

I think drifting and racing should not be said side by side. I think the problem with RJ that one weekend that he came out to race was, he needed to drive a low car fast not try to jump in a fast car and go very fast like the reast of the HC guys.
Sorry, no, The Rex is not in the game as far as I know, you can't be virtual Andy Hope.
Actually you guys are not racing and talking trash on H-T. So I guess you can be virtual Andy Hope, oh well.
OK Haters, take it easy on RJ. Given the choice to get paid well to hang out with models, or pay to race, not everyone would choose the models. But, it would not be that easy of a choice.

in the spirit of this thread i saw RJ de vera on the 110 N yesterday near highland park in that NSX, driving very responsibly, and dare i say "too slow"?
at least he's smart enough to not drive like a jackass on the street! that earns points with me.

If it was around 7:30 I was in the passenger seat. I got to drive it home, it's a little under-sprung, but ~400 HP is neat.

Thank you, thank you.
That was shot at Streets of Willow a few days after we got back from Ohio last year. If you watch closely you'll see me dip and de-bead the left rear tire in 1 then slide by the group of camera people standing very much in harms way on the outside of 2. As I drive away you can hear the front right wheel fight for traction with the open diff and deflated rear tire.
It was hot out there, had to be 100'+. I was supposed to be interviewed too so they had me wearing make up all day. At first I didn't want to do it since it sounded uh, less than manly. But the girls in the make up trailer were really cute. I had them dabbing sweat and touching me up all day. It was great!
Thanks for posting this Outrun, I was wondering if it would ever come out.
When are we going to start a shizzle forum?
