Default 15x7 Wheels on 91 Hatch

Well last Sunday I just bought my new 91 Civic DX.
I have had my Volk Gram Lights since last year and I just put them on Tuesday. They are 15x7 w/38mm offset. I just order my coilovers on Friday and are awaiting them to arrive. If you look straight down ontop of the car it doesnt look like the wheels will tuck.Looks like they will hit the fenders both frint and back. Is it because of the width of the rim, should I have got a 15x6.5?

its because of the offset, 15x7 fit fine, but you need a +42-+45 offset.

im running 15x7 gramlights with a +42 offset and they cleared fine after i rolled the inner lip of the fenders in

how much negative camber are you running? more will help. you'll prolly need to roll the fenders a bit, but the +38 should fit.

I wish I can tell you more, but I just purchased the car on Sunday. I havent brought it in anywhere for a wheel alignment or anything, but I was planning on it after I had it dropped.

i can tell you that your tire selection will have a big effect on whether or not they will clear without rubbing.

i had a set of 15x7 meshies being tried out on my car in a +35 offset with 195/50's and it would only rub at full lock and full compression. put the 205/50 Azenis on those same wheels and it would rub over bumps, even in a straight line.

mine is also about -1 degree camber in the rear and about -1.7 in the front

i think it should be ok... but like he just said the tire will play the big part in if it rubs or not.
