Auto transmission stall converter questions.
I have a RO trans out of a 90-93 integra in a 88 crx with a turbo LS. I have a custom built Hi stall converter. The question I have is that the converter does not stall anymore than the stock converter. With the mods we made to the converter it should be a lot looser than the stock converter but it is not. Could the torque converter check valve effect my stall converter? What does the torque converter check valve do. The description in the manual says it maintains torque converter fluid pressure. Would I need to strengthen or weaken the spring to increase stall speed? Any one how is familiar with the inner workings of a honda Auto trans please respond. Thanks.
