Default Ok U EF Gurus!!! Figure this one out

I cannot figure out where im losing my top end, i have a stock b16a1 with a y1 tranny, hasport mounts, stock suspension, k&n intake & breather, borla 2.25 from the cat back, skunk2 shifter, stock clutch, and pr3 ecu.....

shooting no codes, and running on street tires, tell me where im going wrong or what is going wrong

60' 2.275
330 6.434
1/8 9.908
1000 12.924
1/4 15.456
MPH 88.39

Is my knock sensor kicking in and retarding my timing or something, cause in third gear it just feels like a power loss in vtec

my car weighs in at 2210 with me in it and i weight about 190-200

would chipping my ecu, and running no knock sensor and more fuel during vtec fix this lil stupid problem??

gut out the car, get some slicks, do a compression test, advance ur timing, and work on ur 60fts. with all that u should reach 14s. if my bro can hit 14.7s with a y8 swap on street tires, ur b16 should easily be able to hit 14 second runs.

Hey, I wouldn't complain. I'm running 16.2 in Colorado and cannot break it for the life of me. I have not, however, done any sort of compression test. Nor have I advanced the timing. B16 SIR1 LSD Tranny DC Sports header Pacesetter Exhaust and Ebay cold air intake. What gives?

Do you use both o2 sensors? are you running the stock cat? and stock header?

i bet if you got better suspension your 60' would drop a great deal, and as everyone knows 90% of the race is your 60'

your 60'ers aren't bad, but your 1/8 time is kinda high... seems to me like it's not going into vtec... are you sure you don't have automatic b16 cams?

why dont you start by awnsering some of our questions. ARE YOU USING THE STOCK CAT, ARE YOU USING THE STOCK HEADER, ARE YOU USING BOTH o2 SENSORs.

Yes itr cams will help now, and they will help when your on boost, i had itr cams in my setup. However cams arent going to do **** on the stock header, cat and 2.25 exhaust. You will need to upgrade to 2.5 inch and use an itr header, if your going to boost id wait and get a 3 inch exhaust.,

Sell you B16 and get a obd1 b18b1, I raced my freinds **** that we built at a 1/8th mi. tack, it's a '90 hf, pulls a 9.2-9.1 all day with a best of 9.00

I dont care for 1/8 mile runs, plus i call bullshit on a stock b18b1, the things not even a vtec motor, low compression with less hp and around the same torque rating....anyways

should i just toss in gsr cams, or itr cams, which is the better bang for my buck....gsr cams seem to be around $100US and ITR seems to be around $300US

Your right it wasn't stock it had bolt ons (headers, 2 1/4" header back, and a homemade short ram intake) but the 9.0 1/8th time is no bs.... bieatch so sell that **** and get a b18b1!!!
