Part II of the body Modification Saga >> >> __ http://www.sphosting.com/da6spec/ __ <<
Here's what I've done this week:
- Prepped and primered the driver side door jam
- Shaved the antenna
- Prepped and primered the Driver side quarter panel
- Shaved all the emblems
- Shaved the trunk key hole
- Shaved the old spoiler holes (3 piece spoiler)
- Prepped and primered the whole trunk
- Wet sand half of the roof
- Prepped and primered the hood
- Prepped and primered the Dash trim
- Prepped and primered driver side door
I'm currently updating my web site because I've decided to redo the front bumper where I shaved the bumper lights. Now I'm going to make a custom carbon fiber fog light bracket to go into the lower vents. I'll have pics of this phase up in the next 2 weeks. I already have the carbon fiber, I'm just undecided if I should go with either Raybrig or CATZ fog lights (yellow lenses).
By the way, I'm painting the car Jeep Liberty dark blue. Bronze rims, bronze 'H emblem out back, and the letters "INTEGRA DA6" painted into the hood on the side in small fonts.
I'm also doing the whole interior over with "ALOT" of custom carbon fiber pieces. I'll have pics of this phase up in about a month and a half when I'm done. I'll also be painting the interior over in flat black, like Audi black leather. Check out my boy's door panels I did yesterday. Came out better than I thought it would.
I also built a plywood floor for my boy's DC2. Next week, I'll build one for my G2 with a custom latch for the spare tire.
Take a look at the pics and tell me what u think >

Wow, you aren't even using pre-preg...that's tizzite y0!
I've done a lot of CF stuff by hand as well--it's gonna be tough to get that weave to look good and straight, but if you get it right it'll be awesome

What else could be used for a trunk liner that would be supportive w/o the spare, but not heavy like plywood? I'd want it strong enough to mount a NOS bottle and carry the normal school books, cd's, headers, etc.. lol
