after Engine swap prob;ems surfacing
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1216243
This post ties in with the above thread!I'm haveing a surge issue just off idle ! I'm not clear on what engines are what so bear with me !This engine has the throtle body injection on it now what generation of engine is it refered to as?
Does the tb injected manifold have an air idle control like the multi port engine?Does it need to be cleaned? Im throwing one code it's the ilnet air temp sensor.is it possible this could be causing this problem???Under full power it pulls OK but just off Idle or light throtle it surges ???,it idles perfectly but a little low and if you turn the engine off for a few minutes then start it back up the surge will go away for awhile.
Thanx
BEN

Anyway, yes DPFI engines do have an iacv, its on the drivers side of the manifold. Its a box that has a couple coolant hoses going to it next to the vaccum line. Take it out and clean it with as much brake cleaner as you can.

Thanx . DPFI , that should help loads! At least now reading thru the posts and weeding out what does not pertane to my mine will be easier!
What is a b16 A??
Does anyone know if the air inlet temp sensor malfuntion will cause or make this surging happen? Code 10!

go read this whole thing, and do what it says.

make sure you dont have any vaccum leaks, and the sensor your speaking of, make sure its wired properly to the ecu. then suspect the sensor itself for failure.

Thanx for the link but I Have TB Throtle body injection!
The code ten air temp sensor I can't seem to make go away I installed a good known sensor in its place and it still would not make the check engine lite go out!
Have removed and replaced the AIC with good known runner still no luck.Tried dicking around with the timing no luck there either. The surge is not at idle but as you just get off Idle just a little bit of pedal and the surge starts!!The car dosent start and rev when cold either it just starts and idles!
