How do they compare: F4i vs. ZX6R
ZX6-R: Great bike IMO. Lacks fuel injection but is still on par HP wise with other 600's. most comfortable of the 600's. Crappy *** suspension though. They just had a nice $200 price cut for 2002 model year.
600F4i: Also a great bike. Refined fuel injection and equal hp to ZX (95.5 vs 95.2). Still comfy but not as much as ZX. MUCH MUCH better suspension. More expensive (2002: 8199 vs 7699). I am slowly starting to like this bike better than the Kawi. I give the F4i my choice!!
Hope that helps somewhat.

Kawi build quality is lackin gcompared to the Honda as well. Thats a big part for me. Id ride a slower but better assembled bike anyday.
Honda is the elite in the motorcycle world right now. I feel that most bike maufacturers are achieving 97% of the quality and reliability of Honda. Just like anything, you pay a lot more for that last 3% than you do for the first 97%
Look at the new 350Z. Nissan openly compares it to the Porsche Boxster (and it outmatches it in many aspects IMO). The boxster starts at $42k, the nissan at $26k. You pay a lot for that Porsche look and the little emblem.
Its up to you how much that last 3% is worth. I will own a Honda motorcycle someday, but it won't be because the quality and reliability of other bikes is not up to par.

i own a kawi and i must say i was a little put off by the build and the poorly translated service manual, but after plundering through my first valve adjustment (which requires removing the cams) i can say i am actually impressed with the design and manufacturing quality of the bike. The division of Kawi that makes motorcycles is Kawasaki Heavy Machinery which also makes all sorts of industrial equipment. The bikes are solid.

many times i have seen Kawis shipped without decals, panals misaligned, scratched frames. decals that dont line up. Maybe I should have said finish quality rather than build.
I think these people who talk about build quality have just been around too long... technology and ummm...other stuff have come along long way from the 80's and even 90's and I have to say if you buy a new bike from any of the the BIG 4 Jap. companies you're gonna get a very well built bike.
and as for which is better.....I go with the ZX-6R...It's the one Carring the #1 plate in AMA Supersports this year. Plus the new yellow paint looks soo nice.
