Default Intake filter fell off...

My car sounded a lil different when I started 2 or so days ago....It was a deep rumbling and all I have is a short ram(can't be heard at idle just a whistle) anyways I looked today and the filter was completely off so I put it on tightly but when I started the car it still was makin the noise. I drove around the block and it didn't feel bad or anything but the noise is a sign that somethin changed. Im just worried I may have hurt the engine in some way cuz im goin with a t25 set up shortly.........Anything you can contribute is greatly appreciated....

It's all in your head. You want it to be messed up so you're trying to find something wrong.

Guess what im wondering is can 2 days of unfiltered air driven about 30-55 miles hurt an engine?

you may have sucked up something, but i doubt it. as long as your weren't on dirt roads without the filter or something, it is not like it is a cold air. you could try just basic tune up stuff, ie spark plugs, wires, oil, etc.

I drove my car without a filter for a good 2 or 3 days, on the freeway, on the street, going 60-70 mph and my car is fine. I'm sure yours is too.

unless you sucked up a rock or a bird I'd say you're ok , these d's can take a lot of damage and keep on going, there's a video floating around of some guys going through hell trying to destroy a d15, including pouring water directly into it with no oil!

How the $#@% is taking the filter off supposed to stop you from sucking water up into a CAI and hydrolocking the engine?

Its probably just a squirrel or something that crawled up into the intake and is stuck in the throttle butterfly, I wouldnt worry about it.

I thought Honda engines were hamster-powered. I don't know if you can mix squirrels and hamsters in a Honda engine. You'd think it would be twice as powerful, but they may not be compatible.
