Default HPDE With Cracked Rotor

My driver side rotor has a very thin hairline crack in it. However, if you run your finger across it, it feels very smooth, pretty much flush with the rest of the rotor. Here's a photo of how it looks:

Do you guys think I'd be able to do a HPDE on it Sunday, or should I replace it beforehand? The rotors are pretty much brand new... the crack came after an HPDE at Big Track at WSR. I can replace it before Sunday if I have to, but I'll be pressed for time getting a Prelude rotor and redrilling it to 4x100.

I would say dont take a chance of it coming apart and messing up you weekend plans. Change it.

i really agree with what the others have said, although when i crewed for the PDQ civic in the 25 hour we ran the last bit of the race with really messed up rotors. But you have time and there not expensive so id replace it.

Default Probably should change it

Would that pass tech?

I managed to crack a rotor during some lapping. I noticed massive front end
vibration. You really can't do hard braking with that. Just change it so you won't
lose a run session.

AutoZone didn't have any Duralast rotors in stock, so I had to go over to Kragen and get Raybestos ($34). Anyone have any experience with these?

The rotors were special order, but they'll be there tomorrow after 4PM. It's really cutting it short, since I need to re-drill them... thats why I asked for the suggestions. Looks like I'll just have to cancel if I don't get the rotor and get it drilled in time.

Thanks guys!

Far better than the old one coming apart going hot into a turn and destroying your car (or someone else's).

yeah, but ours were micro cracks through out the rotor. they don't typically just go to crap.

this is one long crack. imho, this crack has much more chance of becoming a problem.

Light surface cracking is not a problem and is normal when running somewhat aggressive pads, but deep cracks or long cracks (like yours) are not something I'd go to the track with.

Got the new rotor, so I'll get it on before the event tomorrow. Thanks for the advice!
