Just got my DSM 450 blue tops installed and had the car running today.

Fuel set up is as follows:

DSM 450s,
Uberdata
Walbro 255lph HP intank
stock rail

fuel pressure: 45psi idle.

at idle, these injectors are LOUD as ****. at first i thought i was getting some piston slap since hte motor was cold at start up. then i thought it was the valves tapping? but upon closer listen its definatly my injectors.


what does this mean? normal for this injector? or is this a problem?

 

it was normal for me.. i have slighty bigger injectors and there loud as **** so im assuming with 450's it should be .

 

Its normal. Almost sounds like your motor needs a valve adjustment.. SR20DET stock injectors do the same thing

 

exactly....sounded like valves! ok just checking.

 

So is that normal for all the bigger injectors? I'm going to throw my DSM 450's on in a couple of hours... I just have to find some OBD 1 clips in the junk yard.
