i have a chance to get a si fuel pump off my friends wrecked car, is it the same as my 00 dx pump? the car the fuel pump is coming off of is a 00 SI. I found a thread that says that all integras and the si fuel pump are 135 lhr (except ls). just want someone to reassure me. thanks if anyone knows.

 

yes they are different, but u might be running rich

 

Why do you want to get a different fuel pump? You doing any kind of mods here in the near future that would require more fuel? No need to change out the fuel pump unless it's going bad.

 

yes its different. im running one on my boosted 94 Civic Ex

 

the Si pump does flow more fuel.

the stock regulator will maintain the stock fuel pressure with either pump.it won't run any richer.
some people have had problems with the fuel pressure going up when using the HUGE pumps like the 255LPH Walbros-the stock regulator can't bypass enough fuel to keep the stock pressure with those pumps in some cases.

as said above,unless you plan on making a lot more power,or your stock pump is failing,you don't need the Si pump.

I believe so. The Si is going to maintain a hgiher fuel pressure than your DX one. They're designed to run completely different engines.

When I put my 255lph in, I was able to compensate with my B&M fuel pressure modifier, but the biggest difference I've found so far is the vacuum tube on/off. Stock pump with the tube on the regulator, it would jump like 7 or 8 psi when the tube was pulled off. Now, it only changes 2 or 3psi... so I'm running a little more pressure at idle than I should. No matter, it's getting tuned next week and that will all be taken care of.
