B16 swap bogging,backfiring,running rough,
I just got my car running a little better.was running on 3 cylinders with bosch plugs(never go too autozone). The car however still pops!Allthough it use too do it through the intake, its only out the exhuat now.Its also very boggy....not running right at all.Vtec seems too kick in late around 5800-6000.I did a fuel pressure test today and it was at 35 psi...seems a little low too me.I have seen alot of people adjust it too 40-50..Any idea what it could be?

Check your plugs and make sure they're not fouled.
Check your ECU for codes.
Check with a stethoscope to make sure all your injectors are clicking and firing.
Check your distributor cap for bad contact points.
Try turning the fuel pressure DOWN, and see what happens.
I run a B16 with a P72 ECU with 260cc injectors at 32psi... and it runs RICH..
Get rid of the Bosch crap and get some NGK laser platinum plugs

Some NGK or Accel spark plug wires would be a good investment too.

I converted an SiR II to OBD-II as well. Then I stuffed it into a 96 Civic LX.
99 Si parts work just fine for me, except for the axles which are 96 Integra LS.
