Any reason to keep the heatshield around the Cat coverter? I took it off when I installed my exhaust and having a hard time getting it back on any reason I need it on or will it be fine without it? I'm sure I could get it on if I need to its just tight spaces and I don't see a point in having it anyway.

 

i ripped mine off.....literally....its fine, just dont park on any dry grass

 

Oo i didnt know theres a heat shield around it... how is it removed? do you think it adds extra protection from rocks and stuff... i think i'm going to take it off.. if its safe as you say...

ru kidding...haven't u heard the old saying that says "if its not broken, don't fix it"
or in other words just leave it, how is it gonna help your car if u take it off, a few extra horses

 

Lol you just put the piece over it and another piece under the cat and put a bolt through them in the 4 corners.

 

i was thinkin about taking mine off too when i changed the O2 sensor but ended up leaving it just for protection.
