hey i am about to buy a turbo from a guy i know, but he dont know what kind it is. it doesnt have many markings on it, it has a T on it that looks like the one saw on a turbonetics manifld once and so i was wondering if there was any other way to tell. I dont wnat to end up with a SSautoshit, it had a couple other markings on the side, but no name. thanks

 

Generally it will have that T logo on the housings or say Turbonetics on the compressor from my expirence. I'm sure there are other ways of identifying that other people can add.

I've seen some turbos on ebay with turbonetics or garrett turbine housings, but with generic crappy compressors, so be careful. From what I've seen, Turbonetics turbos usually have their logo on the compressor side as well.

 

the center cartdrige will also have the T on it too.
