Installing an Si EG sunroof onto a Dx EG roof...
So here's a real technical question for all you h-t people... My friend recently crashed his rare "Rainbow series" '95 Si EG(w/e the **** rainbow series is...) and he pretty much parted out his car and he asked me if I wanted his sunroof with all the hardware+wiring but my question is how the **** am I gonna go through with this process... If anyone has pics and step by step procedures that would be freakin' greatly appreciated
. If you guys are wondering why I would do such a thing and well that's because summer is coming up plus we all know how it feels to drive w/o AC and no power windows is a bitch lol... Also because we're bored and we wanna do some kind of project sometime next month and **** I'll even post pics if someone can give me some tips/pointers. Thanks H-T you guys are the greatest!

I don't hear too many people doing this but it's possible. I don't recall if there is any support difference in the roof between the models. Just get the measurements from you friend's Si, pull everything out and reinstall everything back in. I recommend getting a Helms for the wiring schematics. Also use the good sealant/adhesive to prevent leaking and rusting. Will possibly require some fabbing for bracing.

I would first suggest just don't do it, not worth the hassle.....
But if your gonna do it, I would think the easiest way would be cut the sunroof off of one car and cut a hole in the other roof and weld it in. That way you can't fuckup the measurements.
thats how I would do it it I was going to.....

It's not really something you can do at home. When I read up on it, not even all bodyshops qualify to do the job. There are very critical reinforcement methods and safety standards into doing this procedure. I highly advice not to do it at home yourselves.
