I think my car is cursed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK so heres the deal i have had to replace 3 motors and 4 transmissions in my car in the 1.5 years i have owned my car (thank god i have a trusty ford festiva) i dont have a clue on what i am going to do about the car the most recent motor was put in on feb 22 and i blew the motor about 3 weeks ago the motor before that i blew while i was going 60 mph and not getting on it what so ever. This car is pissing me off and i dont have a clue on what to do with it. F@#k this car. AHHHHHHH.

Hey man im right there with you but like every one told me just stick with and take all the right steps and everything will work out. Plus every time some thing goes wrong its a great learning experience. No matter how pissed you get.
yeah i know but when something goes wrong it ends up costing me tons of ******* money that i dont have but good thing i have a friend who owns his own business. thank god for hook ups. but damn it has cost me a built motor from the motors and trannys that i have put in it.
Sounds like your not building them right or something, or just getting horrible engines. Were they from a junkyard and did you replace all the gaskets and such? Did you torque everything down to specs also and stuff like engines you dont want to take shortcuts on and do them the right way the first time. If thats not the case then you must really be cursed.
ok amigo something does not add up here 3 motors and 4 transmissions????? motors and tranny dont have anything to do with each other .... doenst this place give you any warranty??? does engine overheat?? start knocking?? and the tranny?? is it auto or manual??? no offense but you must be doing something to cause this or you are exagerating 3 engines and 4 tranny in 1/2 years is unheard of

people can say youre full of crap, but my car is cursed too. every time i fix something, something else breaks that same day. I just hope its nothing minor. This is my 3rd motor and 6th transmission in 4 years. since i bought the car, its been broken 1/2 of the time. i feel your pain man.

Sounds like your fuel system is bad on the car or you like to rev your car too much, dont let it warm up and not change your oil.
if you properly build a motor or even bought a d16z6/y8, b series or ZCs you wouldnt have problems. and if you bought a trans from gear-speed for 1200-1400 you wouldnt have problems. IF you saved and invested in something good you wouldnt have a problem and if you did it would be your fault not a mechanical failure.
*most swaps 90% of the time have trans that will last about a year before grinding or anything dumb starts happening. so for people swapping for B or H motors get a new trans it will last 10 times longer than used trans you recieve with swap.
example:
my 3rd gear on the trans is going on my JDM S1, man my L3s had shaft, throwout bearing and 3rd gear syncro problems EVERY honda trans you get used is not going to last more than a years worth of driving(meaning racing days and DD without bad syncros or anything) and its my fault for auto-xing it/drag racing/track days/long trips, we all know honda makes some weakass MTs and there ATs are even worse. motor has been in car for 2.5 years and recieved beatings since and not 1 problem or burn oil or leaks.. except for my problem with not teflon taping a couple things hahaha. but see thats my fault.

Well, obviously something you do is wrong, or you havent fixd the actual problem. I beat the **** out of my boosted setups, and they last for as long as i keep them in there. So far its been a year on my y8. Oh, and workign at a shop doesnt mean anything, i work at a performance shop, and some of the guys weve had in here are just retards, they dont last long though.

im right there with ya. i have had my car for almost 2 years and i am on my 3rd motor. both due to oil prioblems. like oil pump failing. and when i fix sumthin somethin else goes wrong. like i had a short in my ******* positive battery cable. WTF! then my alternator died. then my dizzy then timming belt skippe d2 teeth and bent valves. i get sick of it too but i now have an eclipse that is reliable. just have fun with ur crx/civic and dont have it as ur dailey driver. dont get down when it breaks cuz u have the ford and in no rush to fix ur EF.

I've been down the same road. Had a 86 crx and somethin used to go wrong all the time. Fix one problem somethin else breaks a week later. Yep, car hated me, till one day me and her got into a fight. I said we were goin one way, she thought otherwise and decided that the wall would be a good mediator. Didnt give me any problems after that......

****, maybe i wasnt tryin hard enuff. Maybe i can catch up on this car. Seems like this motor's already on its way out. And i've already been through one trans. Saweet, i can catch up in no time!
Hahaha, yea. I was depressed at first, but the more i look back on it the more i realize how fucked that car really was. And now I've got my 89 hatch and this ****'s like leaps and bounds greater. And only half as cursed!
