buying another eg
i have one that's near stock.
i'm getting one on saturday that has a h22 in it what should i look for as in engine damage wise.
the car fax is clean.
200k on chassis
100k on usdm h22 obd1
he said the 3rd gear syncro might be going out but i didn't feel anything when i test drove it but he said when your racing it you can feel it i got on it and nothing. But a tranny is easy to find.
clutch master stage 2 clutch is only mod
and avid mounts fluidyne
ebay ram air.
idle little rough
i have a aem ems that i was going to do some tuning with so that might clear it up???
what do you guys think?

its prolly just the third gear grind...take it to redline in 2nd and shift to third hard, that'll make it grind, I'm good at that
but if it doesnt do it at any other time, it's prolly safe. is the idle at the right rpm? if it's too low, that could cause the rough idle...or possibly the IACV (idle air control valve) the screen might need to be cleaned

hey guys i finally got the car that i wanted here's some info:
it has 155 compression across the board that's ok. it's a shitty compression tester so it could be abit more.
it's a stock engine.
USDM is 190 CHP i'm looking at 155whp-140whp
In two weeks i will have installed and finally have a car to install these parts on:
L-cons traction bars
255lph warbro
900lbs skunk2 drag springs rear
koni shock in back
tein flex dampeners on the front
password jdm carbon fiber j-racing intake
prospeed header and straight pipe.
<question> i"m throwing a cel the o2 sensor was eleminated could that be the reason also do they have a o2 sensor replicater that i can attach

Looking for High to mid 12's, 11's would be nice but i will have to see what i can get done by the 27th this month were taking to the track
bought saturday and went through first tank of gas 26miles per gallon.
if tires were in flated abit more and a cleaner intake i'm looking for over 30 i hope.
Have no racing yet and the previous owner has not taken to the track.
but he's taken his friends 13.3 1/4 time From a roll.
and will have it dyno tuned in 2-3 weeks
what do you think this will bring the quater mile time and hp up too.
I'm trying to pick all of the best parts that i've researched?
i'm hoping 175 whp
Also with the drag radials Can i go in the bleach box with these?
I would like some feed back on parts that are great quality and let me know if I'm missing something.
or what should i upgrade next or do i have the wrong parts already let me. thanks

check to see what code its actually throwing and look it up, that'll tell you for sure. yes u can use the radials in the water box (i dont know of any track using bleach), and get it chipped, that helped my friends h22 a lot, just make sure it has a rev limiter on it...he misshifted and bent a valve last night...so a rev limiter is a good idea lol...i dont know if u'll be runnin 11's but 12's are definatly in sight. good luck and be safe

if you haven't bought the car yet, make sure you look around the mounts for cracks in the block...they only get bigger...learn from my mistakes, and 5 IS a good price, but the guy with the b16 hatch was an idiot, he should've sold it for 5k-5500...i would've paid that much with all that **** on it
