Default using obd1 throttle body

Anybody in here using an obd1 throttle body that has the map sensor on the tb instead of the firewall like it is on crx's and civics?

I bought an ls TB and had it maxbored, and it had a hole on top of it that looked like it should have a hose attached. Apparently its where a map sensor belongs.

Just wondering, all i have to do is get an ls map sensor and plug it in and reroute the wires/ hose?

I was wondering the same thing but I also am looking for a throttle body that doesn't have the FITV on the bottom either.

sold it

talk to waylon about the map sensor, i know he had a issue with that when he did his GSR swap.
I think he just used the map sensor on the firewall. not sure about the vaccum line.

b16a - cold starts u have to manually choke it to keep the car running, idle goes way low sometimes at intersections... nothing but problems

I'll have to ask him..good point. HE musta switched to an obd1 map, but then again he probably had one...

I put a obd1 tb on my car. Only problem I ran into was the wire was too short...had to add about 3 inches, plugs are the same.

I'll go try to fit my crx map to the ls tb, in hopes that it fits, and all i have to do is extend the wires

I guess they must be, because top mounts screw down on tb with hole on bottom...ares screw up into bracket with hole on bottom...guess theres no way they could fit.

WTB: obd1 map sensor

I think I have a extra map sensor (I'll let you know Sat). I have a 89 HF, like I said above I had to extend the wires. Other than that it functioned right. Went with a obd1 t-body off a 95 GSR.

So what you are saying is that the plug from the wall mounted MAP goes fine into the throttle body mounted MAP...you just have to extend the wires?
