Has anyone made their rear windows in their hatch permanent? If so please include pics.

the two rear windows in my si are hinged. and crack open for ventilation.

ahh, gotit. never seen it done, except on lexan. why do you want to do it?

 

im sure all ef owners hate those faint noises coming from your 15 year old car and when you find out what they are you try and fix them.

well i dont really like the idea of the hinged windows, but where the little hinge goes through the window there is like a bushing or something that is supposed to make it fit tight but its dry rotted to its metal to glass

 

is it something you could use 3m window weld on?

 

Yeah, probably so, but while I was at it I figured I would see if anyone else has made these windows permanent.

mine doesn't rattle, but I can see where it's taking off some of my paint.

 

I'm thinking about doing that. I took the back seat out so i figure why have windows with a hinge to open em? So see what i am doing im thinkin of either finding a way to mold them in or going for the race car look and using screws to hold them in. I think that would give my car more of a racers look. Something we dont see around here due to all the ricing. And i was going to do a body kit but now that i actually got bumpers for my car i dont think i am.

 

I don't think you want to screw the glass. Maybe buy some lexan and fab some windows but not the glass. Thanks for the feed back. keep it coming.

i was looking on ebay at all the things they have for sale and i found rear glass that u could mold in or screw in. and it was regular glass so i dunno. maybe the guy has no idea what he is talking about

 

ebay sellers are funny.

email any of the coilover sellers on ebay and see if they even know what a 'spring rate' is. LOL

be very careful on ebay.

 

haha. type in "jdm" or "type r" and you will pretty much have sumed up everything on ebay motors.
