theorys on which intake (not asking what to buy)
i have an AEM CAI for a 90 CRX Si...
i also made a custom 3inch CAI...
The AEM is smaller piping and obviosuly more researched then my 3 inch...
but i want my intake velocity strong still, theres no way i'dbe able to dyno them so dont bother telling me that... i know its only a few hp give or take to be gained or lost but i'm just curious... should i stick with the smaller aem or my bigger?
aem also bends to get around the stock battery location.. i relocated mine to the trunk.. my pipe is straight...

I Say vote for the one you made.
makes you "feel" like you're part of the engine....
i wouldn't even bother with the dyno session unless it was free.

My thoughts
the AEM CAI for CRX isnt made for the b16 flow or swap. i belive the CRX/CIVIC is like 2.25" diamater and has 5 bends. which is why they made the v2 which is bigger in size and fits factory battery location area. but it has 5 bends still. imo it doesnt look as clean as the 99-00si system.
personally since you have the battery relocated, i would get a 99-00 si AEM CAI because it's bigger in diameter(2.5") and has 2 bends 1 at TB and 1 going down the hole behind the bumper

These is every true but the 99-00 SI AEM is a 2.75' diamater and not 2.5'.
Here is a picture of one when it was on my car.

your probably like a 10 minute ride from me, and you have a 1st gen b16, and you painted your car blue, and you have a 90dx....
it must something in the water here.
these pics make me want to relocate my battery.

I would say that you've probably seen me around/I've seen you around... but I don't recall seeing a blue rex with a b16
