2 ?'s.... is the insulating wrap on the charge pipe worth it and removal of bumper grill
is the insulating wrap for the charge pipe worth doing, like will it lower intake air temps atall? also how do you remove the plastic grill in the front bumper? Do i just need to cut it out?
you want to INSULATE your charge pipe? you realize this will not allow heat to dissipate as it should? the main reason behind aluminum charge piping if im not mistaken...but i could be
It'll only matter if your air temps between the FMIC and TB are much different from the engine bay. Much higher, and wraping will hold heat in. Much lower, and heat wrap will deflect heat. Honestly, the air flows fast enough in the piping that it'll barely make a difference. I've yet to see an engine bay with it done.
Aluminum tubing is mainly used for weight savings and bling.
