Default Is Inlinepro worth the $ or should i just get cometic

I have a GT28RS on my '99 GSR and until i get the money together to build the bottom end, i was going to get a lower compression head gasket so i could safely turn up the boost to about 10 psi. So far everyone has been telling me to go with Inlinepro, but i just noticed that i can get the Cometic for about $90 when the Inlinepro will run me close to $350. Why is this? Is Inlinepro that much better? Or am i simply paying for a different name brand.

TIA to anyone who can help me clear this up

your compression is perfect, its all in the tune, you can have 11:5 compression as long as its tunned. And about the headgasket stock one is perfect it cost 50 bucks. and its good up to 35psi easy.

why are you so worried about compression? I'd stay stock compression you get more HP per lb of boost. Just get it tuned correctly

Why do people talk about buying lower compression pistons once they boost there car. I was under the impression that running a higher compression was for NA cars not boosted.

i LOVE my stock compression. BUT.... i was under the impression that until i build the bottom end that lowering the compression would allow me more room in terms of safety. I have a great tune, but won't lowering the compression on my GSR give me a bit more play? Until i get the money together to send my block off to import builders for sleeving... can't i drop the compression a bit and turn up the boost? i know i am not making this **** up.... i have read tons of **** about it on here.

^^^you're correct, it'll give you more margin of safety so go ahead if you want, but all you are doing is lossing HP and running more boost to compensate. It will be fine if it's just tuned. An LS untuned is just as unsafe

I would ditch on getting a lower compression headgasket and put that money into a good tune and your current compression will be fine. I run stock compression on my type r and have been for almost a year in a half.

You'll be fine on stock compression/sleeves/internals with 10 PSI on a GT28RS if your tuner is worth a damn. I wouldn't even consider sleeving the block unless I was aiming for 400+ at the wheels, anything less forged pistons/rods should more than suffice.
