Default New Project...Ugly

I recently sold my Civic Si and got a Lexus IS 300. But I'm starting a new project, this one is going to need a lot of work.

Is a 97 Hatch CX:

What do you guys think???

I cant believe you actually paid money for that. I would pay someone to have that SOHC piece of **** towed out of my driveway, unless you have plans of a motor swap.

That's prob the dumbest comment I've heard in a while. However the frame looks horrendous, that's going to be an expensive project.

I'm not going to use the motor. I have a LS motor ready to go. Fully Build JG Dynamics Head, Resleeve to 84.5 block, Micro Polish Crank, Endyn Piston, Eagle Rods, the works.

You must be crazy if I'm going to be using the motor.

I'm going to get a few quotes on how much is going to cost to get it fix before I go crazy buying pieces. That is why I took those pics today.

The only dumb thing would be for him to try and rebuild it.

Actually thats not that bad compared to what I did to my 96 CX front end. I hit a wall and the whole front of the car went to the right. I blamed it on the ice and the insurance company had a shop fix it for 4000 dollars and did a 99-00 civic front end too. Oh and good luck.

4000 dollars is a lot of money, I'm thinkin if it's more than like 2000 I'll try to sell it. I only paid 900 for it.

Thats nothing, give me one day with that car and none of you guys would even know what happened, this is a common fix on alot of cars, just so you guys know a ton of CLEAN TITLE cars have had this front bulkhead replaced.
I know a good number of you guys have cars that have ahd damage like this and never reported.

This might be costly if you dont have a guy on the side or yourself doing it but its realy not a big job.

I tried to sell....tried to get the insurance company to total it so I could buy it back...but they wouldnt budge. The shop also only bought honda stuff to use on the car. But my frame bent like 30 degrees to the right right from the tranny mount. Did I mention I hit a wall while ice drifting at 55MPH?

Well this car was hit from the front driver side. Must defenety the radiator support and some frame pulling is going to be done. I called a few places and their charging about 50 bucks an hour. Will see what happens, If I stay with the car I'm going to stay with the 97 look. SIR

I wasn't doggin you or anything...I just didnt care how much it costed to fix my car cause the insurance company paid for everything. So i just said whatever and let them do it. But yeah in your case It shouldnt reach 4000.00 cause thats just insane for anyone to pay except for insurance companies. Did the airbags go off in that hatch? Cause up to this day I still wonder why my air bags didnt go off. The SRS lights werent on either so I thought everything with the airbags were fine. But oh well. Good luck with the build.
