What turbo do you Daily Driven B16 owners use?
Like it says, what turbos do you daily driven B16 owners use? make, a/r's, trim etc... i have an 18g but i'm disappointed and i want to knwo a good turbo to get that way i'm not wasting money, and i do have sort of a budget so i'm not looking to spend a whole lot of money.
Also would like to know the spool time on the turbo.
any help is appreciated.
Sorry for asking a n00b question but i dont know how else to get opinions on which turbo to choose, there are so many out there. *i did search*

It depends on what your goals are with the car, but you can't go wrong with a GT35E or a GT35R. My 35E worked GREAT on the street, and was much more responsive than the old Greddy TD05-18G turbo kit that I used to have.
I was at full spool by around 5200rpm or so

I run a T3/TO4E 60 trim .63. It's too big for my stock B16 for now, but I've gotten used to the powerband. Full boost of 8 pounds at ~5500.

I've used a GT28RS and a GT3071R. The 3071R is smooth and doesn't fade out up high, but the 28RS was a little monster, spooled about instantly from almost anywhere, and so responsive that is was hard to control sometimes. I'd recommend a GT28RS to anybody, that thing was awesome.
The 18g wont hold boost till redline, and i'm sick of messing with the internal gate. so i'm just going to go with something bigger and with an external gate. the car is a daily driver but i do run it 1/4 mile from time to time.
i plan on keeping the motor stock for now and then down the road building up the bottom end.
I want a turbo that will spool decently fast and that will hold boost till redline without a problem.
keep um coming. also if you guys could tell me where you got the turbo from and how much you paid for it?

I ran a full-race t3/t67 stg. 3 wheel .63 a/r on my b16. It hit 404 hp @ 17 psi on pump... It really comes down to what your goals are. It started to spool at about 5500rpms, and hit 400hp by about 6900-7000rpms.
Good luck!

You have the absolute perfect turbo for a daily driven b16...If its not holding boost until redline, you are doing something wrong...I wouldnt give up on it so fast if I were you..You can make plenty of power on that turbo not to mention it can give your little b16 something it was never intended to have....TORQUE!!!
If it looks like I am defending the poor old 18g, I am...See sig for my satisfied results..

yeah i agree, i run the 18g daily and i like it, sure its not the best for power, but for a daily driver but it gets the job done and smokes mustangs on 7psi, **** even 5.5 psi. yeah i would like to make more power but its nice to have a daily reliable turbo civic too.

I have two crx's. one street car runs a full racet-3 60-1 with a .70,.63. full boost at 7000 rpm, and on the race car a 18g greddy that made 346 to the wheels. the 18g is better for the street, thinking about swapping the two. I just wanted a fast street car. run 15 psi on the t3 and 18 psi making out my 720cc.
