Did search, still need more help. heres what I've got. Its a 97 b18b in a 96 hatch. I've been driving the car for a couple of days now and the only problem I've been having is the idle surge. I was going to go get a generic cel scanner but I can't even get the bitch out the driveway now. It'll start up, run for 5 seconds and just drop and shut off or when I do get it started I hit the gas to rev it up but it just cuts off. any help would be appreciated

 

if you have a cel, you need the code. if no cel, check for vacuum leaks.

 

i had a similar problem in my 98 dx. hard to start, when it was started and i gave it gas to go it would die, and sometimes it wouldnt rev. it was casue my plugs were bad so i would check you plugs. hope this helps
