will a D16Y7 tranny fit on a B18b Motor??

what causes it not to fit?

 

there to different block types and there two different size tranny, the b18b is just a little bigger then the d-type tranny

 

YUUUUUPP, im rockin that transmission right hurr, all u gots to do, is throw some bolts up in that piece, change yo headers for ground clearances, add a strut bar for handling and you all good, that trannys got short *** gears, like zoom zoom zoom, you could hit up the track and run a 6 easy, hit me up, PEACE

The y7 is trash. It was geared for fuel economy not acceleration. The gears are looooooooong. Do your self a favor and skip this one. Look for a y8 (EX/Si). Its obvious Thankz_Luke doesnt know what he is talking about.
